Llanmartin Primary School is a community primary school within the Local Education Authority of Newport.
At Llanmartin Primary School, we believe that the primary phase of education is one of the most important in a child’s learning journey and at the centre of their future development. It is a time when we aim to nurture in children a lifelong love of learning. In leading children on this journey we pride ourselves on making the route fun, exciting and enjoyable.
Everyone involved with Llanmartin Primary School works very hard to make our school a happy and creative place for the children to flourish and grow. We aim to create an atmosphere where children feel valued and secure.
We strive to attain high educational standards. In our Nursery class and in our Foundation Phase, we deliver experiential learning. This skills based approach is extended into Key Stage 2 provision.
We treat all our children as individuals. Additional support is provided for those who benefit from extra help as well as those who are more able. Our approach to education is to equip children for their next step of learning and for life in the 21st Century.
We recognise that the partnership between home and school is a crucial one and appreciate that the parents, carers and community in Llanmartin work together with us. We support children in order that they will grow into valuable and proactive citizens of Llanmartin and the wider community.
We are very proud of all our children and staff.
If you would like to visit the school or would like to ask any questions, please feel free to telephone or drop into the school, we operate an ‘open door’ policy.
